Research

Dr. habil. Emese K. Nagy is the general director of Teacher Training Institute, University of Miskolc.

 

Research field

She is an agricultural engineer, certified engineering teacher, and English language teacher, holding a habilitated doctorate in educational sciences.
As Director of the Institute of Teacher Training and General Director of the Centre for Teacher Education at the University of Miskolc, she is engaged in the renewal of teacher education, the promotion of talent development, and the support of disadvantaged students.

Her research focuses on pedagogical equity and innovation, with particular emphasis on addressing student heterogeneity and ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
Her main field of development is the Complex Instruction Program (KIP), based on the domestic adaptation of Stanford University’s Complex Instruction model. The program aims to reduce student status differences and promote a culture of cooperative learning.
The Complex Instruction Program Network (www.komplexinstrukcio.hu), which she founded, now connects more than 200 institutions and several thousand teachers.

Her current research explores the relationship between teacher education and artificial intelligence, focusing on the pedagogical embedding of AI-based educational tools and the preparation of future teachers for the challenges of digital learning environments.
